Atlus (株式会社アトラス - Kabushiki-gaisha Atorasu) is a computer and video game developer and publisher residing in Shinjuku, Tokyo in Japan, founded in 1986. They are well-known for the role-playing series Shin Megami Tensei which, counting spin-offs, has dozens of installments, though the first two Megami Tensei games were NES games developed by Namco which was based on a trilogy of novels. After the second, Atlus took over the series. Their corporate mascot is Jack Frost from the aforementioned series.

The North-American subsidiary of the company, Atlus U.S.A., was established in 1991. Atlus U.S.A. publishes games created by Atlus Co., Ltd. as well as by other developers. They are strictly a publisher, ofttimes localizing obscure or niche titles from other Japanese developers. Atlus U.S.A. operates from Irvine, California.

In June of 2013, Atlus' parent company, Index Corporation, faced possibility of bankruptcy due to them being ¥24.5 billion in debts. Sega Sammy Holdings soon acquired both Index and Atlus, allowing the company and its US subsidiary to continue thriving.

As of 2002, Atlus sold the rights to develop more games for the Power Instinct series to Noise Factory. However, Atlus still owns the property, despite not being involved in publishing Matrimelee or Bonnou no Kaihou.
